Hogwood, James C. IV, 67, was born Aug. 2, 1946, and passed away on Thursday, May 29, 2014, at his home in Wichita. He was the son of Mary Ann and Doss Allensworth of Wichita and James C. Hogwood III, all who preceded him in death. Jim was a Vietnam Veteran, who had earned a purple heart in combat. He was also a member of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers of the Wichita Local #271 for many years. In addition to being a Journeyman Electrician for over 40 years, he was an avid ultralight airplane pilot in his spare time. He is survived by three daughters, two sons, one sister, two brothers, and several grandchildren. A Gathering with family and friends will be held from 2 to 4 p.m. Thursday, June 5, 2014, at Old Mission Mortuary Chapel.
