Mullins, Lee Lorne, Heaven has welcomed a wonderful man, Lee Lorne Mullins, to be with God and his loved ones on Saturday July 27, 2013. According to his birth certificate Lee was born on January 28, 1923; however, his mother always believed that he was actually born on January 29, 1923 in Rock, Kansas. Therefore, Lee must have been 180 years old because his family didn't want to disagree with his mom (after all moms know best) and celebrated both days every year! Preceding him in death are his parents John and Leona Mullins and 7 of his siblings as well as one grandson. Lee graduated high school in Benton, KS in 1941, served in the United States Navy, and retired from the United States Postal Service. Sadness fills the hearts of his survivors: wife Gwen E. Mullins and their children Roger L. Mullins, Gary L. Mullins, Mike D. Mullins, and Judy E. Knight along with their loving spouses and one sister Hazel Barkley. Lee and Gwen were blessed with 10 other grandchildren and 21 <1/2>great grandchildren who will always feel the love he has left with them. We welcome all those interested to a family visitation Monday 7/29/2013 from 6:00-8:00 pm and the funeral service Tuesday 7/30/2013 at 10:30 am at Baker Funeral Home Wichita Chapel. In lieu of flowers the family asks to honor Lee with donations to the at 347 S Laura St Wichita, KS.
