Boyle, Floyd "Duke," 84, former KG&E Underground Foreman, passed away Sunday, January 12, 2014. Funeral services, 1:30 pm, Friday, January 17, at Broadway Mortuary, 1147 S. Broadway. He is preceded in death by his wife, Ellen R. Boyle. Survivors include his sons, Chris (Silvia) Boyle of Shawnee and Ricky Boyle of Wichita; daughter, Barbara (Larry) Oliphant of Valley Center; eight grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. Duke was heavily involved in the Wichita sports scene. He coached many Biddy Basketball teams and was inducted into the Biddy Basketball Hall of Fame. He also played adult Summer league baseball and basketball. After retirement, Duke worked and played golf at Clapp Golf Course.
