Elster, Toby, age 90, passed away January 9, 2014, at the Robert Dole VA Medical Center Hospice. He grew up in Calipatria, in the Imperial Valley of Southern California. He served in WWII and the Korean war as a fighter pilot. Graduating from Wichita State University with degrees in Geology and Business, he had a successful career as an explorer of oil and natural gas. He authored books and was a regular contributor to editorials. Toby is survived by brothers Leon and Sam and sister Judy, he is also survived by sons Marc and Louis and daughter Paulette. Funeral services and interment will be held later this year at Arlington National Cemetery. Share memories at watsonfuneral.com
