Shuman, Donald "Ray," 73, of Greenville, Texas, passed away on Saturday, Jan. 25, 2014, at his residence. A memorial service is scheduled for 2 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 8, at Kavanaugh United Methodist Church with Rev. Stephen Cotton officiating. Ray was born in Joplin, Mo. on Nov. 22, 1940, to Donald Hanning Shuman and Vivian Mae Bland. He married Pamela Rains on Aug. 12, 1988, in Greenville. Ray was a veteran serving his country with the U. S. Navy. He worked for IBM as a Customer Engineer. He attended Kavanaugh United Methodist Church. He was an active member of Hunt County Woodturners, Inc. Ray is survived by his wife, Pamela Shuman of Greenville; sons, Mark Shuman and wife, Nina of Moore, Okla., Robert Darter and wife, Lee of Dale City, Va., Michael Darter of Greenville; daughter, ReaAnn Shuman of Grapevine, Texas; brother, Jerry Lee Shuman and wife, Joyce of Wichita, Kan.; grandchildren, Samantha Shuman, Chasity Shuman, Harry Shuman, Alex Shuman, Sofia Shuman, Claire Shuman all of Moore, Okla., Christian Darter, Hannah Darter of Lone Oak, Texas, Makayla Darter, Kendall Darter, Kyler Darter of Greenville, Mason Benedict of Ft. Wayne, Ind.; one great-grandchild, Kenny Shuman of Moore, Okla.; and three nephews and their families. He is preceded in death by his parents. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the .
