Janzen, Gerald S., 86, was born in Peabody, KS to Otto and Martha (Delk) Janzen on February 14, 1928, and died March 2, 2014. He served during WWII in the Navy and was employed by Boeing Aircraft for 42 years. Gerald was a Sunday school teacher, music director and treasurer at Grace Baptist Church for many years. He is survived by his children, Jean Johnson (Dennis), Barbara Stewart, Frank Janzen (Jackie), Karen Brouillette (Rob) and Alan Janzen (Kim); 11 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; 3 brothers, Rodney, Rex and Richard. His wife, Mildred (Babcock) Janzen; parents, 6 brothers and sisters preceded him in death. Viewing 2-8 p.m.; visitation with family from 5-7 p.m. Thursday, March 6, Smith Mortuary, 7031 S. Broadway, Haysville, KS. Funeral service 10 a.m. Friday, March 7, 2014, Grace Baptist Church, 1414 W Pawnee, Wichita, KS, with military honors at graveside.
