We were pre-veterinary medical students at Iowa State and living in the same dormitory - but he left to go to medical school. He was more serious and studious than we were - I see he endowed a chair at the Iowa State College of Veterinary Medicine - Thank you

He had a laugh that was unique and adorable. As a young nursing student he made learning fun. He will remain an enduring memory to so many, those he helped and those he inspired.

Dr. Artz helped both of my sons when they were born by checking them for hip dysplasia. His expertise saved both of them from future hip problems. Thank you, Dr. Artz.

Dr. Tyrone Artz made a huge difference in my life. I met him when he first arrived in Wichita from Iowa. I was lucky enough to be assigned as his medical assistant @ the Wichita Clinic in 1975 (?). He encouraged me to return to college . While I was earning my degree in nursing at WSU, Dr. Artz allowed me to work in his office whenever I could squeeze in the time. One of the hardest decision I ever had to make was to leave that office practice and start my nursing career at St. Francis. He touched so many lives with his expertise and was a genuine assets to the Wichita medical community. May the peace of the Lord be with his family and friends, In admiration of a life well lived, Mary Pat Aaron

We are so sorry to hear of Tyrone's passing! He was someone of whom my mom Cleo always was so proud! To this day, I take my family every year to the National Western Stock Show cattle barns in honor of Tyrone. I really do think he is the reason I love seeing those big eyed beauties every year! It has been years and years since I last said hello in person, but I always loved his smile that he gave me when we talked. Our thoughts and prayers are with all of you!

Dr. Artz was my handsome older cousin, and I remember always thinking he was quite something. He met my parents and I in KC once for barbecue, the first day I spent in the city that would eventually become my home. I know my parents, Ted and Joan Wilding, loved him very much. My condolences on their behalf and for my sister Jacque and myself.

To The Artz Family,
What a great man! I loved working with him in surgery. He was very skilled! It was indeed a privilege to represent the products that Dr Artz used . I only got to work with him for the last 5 years he practiced but, it was awesome.
I hope you find comfort that he is indeed in heaven , having cared for so many over the years.

To the Tyrone Artz family, may the Lord bless and keep you. You are in my prayers. I worked with Dr. Artz for many years and will never forget the many experiences we shared over the years He was a very skilled and wonderful orthopedic surgeon. Taking care of his patients was always a joy. I will always remember his funny little laugh and I feel so privileged to have been able to work with him. I could spot his incisions across the room. Rest on, its your time to rest. The world of Orthopedic Medicine will miss you.

Tyrone never strayed far from his Iowa roots. He had an amazing work ethic and a general humility about himself. A gentle giant.

I had the privilege to work with Dr. Artz during my residency. He was a visionary in his field, a kind and gentle physician to his patients, and a wealth of knowledge to those who had the opportunity to watch him work. My condolences to those who were lucky enough to know him personally.
