I always looked forward to seeing Dick at the KSU football games. I will certainly miss sharing candy bars, having his help getting my blanket around me, listening to his commentary, and mostly his sweet smile and kind words. The games will not be the same without him - he will certainly be missed. My condolences to his family.

We miss you, Dick! You were a wonderful friend for many years. We enjoyed the visits with you. We never forget the trips to Germany. We always remember you and the hours we spent at your place losing "Texas Train" games to you. Maurice from Manhattan and Wolf from Berlin, Germany

Dick has been a dear friend since he first walked into my office at the travel agency where I worked. Of course, I planned a trip to Germany. I knew when he came into the office he would be a dear friend......and he certainly was. I will miss him so much. Dicks first love was Botanica.

What a dear man. Dick was one of those people who was supposed to live forever. Whatever work or volunteer effort he undertook he undertook with joy and enthusiasm. A gentleman and a gentle man. Botanica will never be the same without your presence -- but then on second thought your presence is everywhere at Botanica and you will not be forgotten. Rest in peace - you deserve it.

I've known dick since high school. A kinder soul you couldn't hope to meet. Always ready to welcome my then growing family into his home for a christmas treat or a walk around his "botanica" on north Oliver. We were incredibly saddened to hear of his passing. See you on the other side Dick. I'm betting you'll have the landscaping looking amazing by the time I get there!

Dick,
My good friend. You will always be remembered for the kind soul that you truly are. I did not have the pleasure of knowing you for more than a year, but our memories will last a lifetime. May you rest in peace my dear friend.

I met him when we were getting the list of people we wanted for the Board for Botanica as it was forming. He has been my friend since then. We have worked together on so many projects the list is way to long to print. Yes he is Mr Botanica...

Mr. Botanica
I will never forget that you were the first person that greeted me and introduced yourself to me the first day I volunteered. I have felt like I was part of a family since then. There can never be enough thank you's for all you did. I will never forget your smile and kindness as you greeted thousands of visitors. To his family I offer my prayers and sympathy.
