Quentin 'Q' Underhill left this earth at the age of 17, on December 31, 2012. He was a resident of Kansas City, MO. Quentin was born on October 26, 1995 at St. Luke's Northland Hospital in Kansas City, MO. Quentin leaves behind his father, Stephen J. Underhill, and mother, Jonna M. Weissenbach, and stepfather, Michael Vick; his twin brother, Nicholas J. Underhill; paternal grandparents, John & Mildred Underhill; maternal grandparents, Edward and Lila Weissenbach; a great grandmother, Beth Crawford; Uncles & Aunts include John and Susan Underhill, Scott Weissenbach, Kellen & Sarah Weissenbach, Philip Underhill, Teresa Hendrickson, Lisa Crawford, Joyce Crowley, Mary and Richard Leathers, Sherman & Beverly Lundy & many other relatives he loved very much. Quentin also leaves behind a devoted girlfriend of 5 years, Bailey Akright. Quentin played football, in the quarterback position, for 7 years through 8th grade. He was a goalie on a competitive soccer team for 6 years. He played basketball for 7 years; one of those being a try out team. He played baseball for 3 years. He began wrestling in 8th grade and continued to focus on that until he passed. Quentin also played golf and one of his biggest passions since he was 2 years old was fishing. Quentin attended St. Charles Catholic School through 3rd grade, Clardy Elementary 4th-5th grade, 6th grade at New Mark Middle, Jr. High at South Valley in Liberty, and finally Liberty High School. He planned to visit the campuses of Northwest Missouri University in Maryville, MO, and MIZZOU this month to determine where he would attend the year after next. Quentin was a lifeguard at the Brooktree Pool in Gladstone, MO. All family and friends are invited to attend all services. Visitation will be at Pleasant Valley Baptist Church 1600 N 291st Hwy, Liberty, MO 64068 on Friday January 11, 2013 from 5p-8p. Thank you to his friend Amy Hartgrove for preparing a video celebration of his life, that several of his other friends have contributed photos to. The funeral will be on Saturday January 12, 2013 at 9am at St. Charles Catholic Church at 900 NE Shady Lane Drive, Kansas City, MO 64118. The burial will be at Resurrection Cemetery at 5001 Northwest Cookingham Drive Kansas City, MO 64164, directly following the service. After the service there will be a luncheon for family and friends back at St. Charles Catholic Church. We would suggest donations in lieu of flowers, to Wayside Waifs or Liberty Wrestling Takedown Club to likely be designated to college scholarships. Pallbearers include his 4 uncles, Scott Weissenbach, Kellen Weissenbach, Johnny Underhill, Philip Underhill, and friends Jarred Martin Payne-Queen and Mitchell Steyer. Quentin's most heroic and courageous act was to choose to be an organ donor. He had completed the paperwork that made that possible while he was living. Upon passing, we honored his request and have been notified that his lungs, heart, liver and both kidneys had been given to people in need thus making Quentin responsible for saving at least 5 people's lives. We love you and are so very proud. M

Steve, may God bestow upon Quentin and your family his Grace and may he accept him quickly. There are no words that will comfort but know that even though your son is no longer there, his work here will never be finished. Your son has probably touched more people than he would ever comprehend. His work will continue on through his memory and through the people that he has touched. God Bless.
