Catrina Marie Smith-Henderson, 40, Blue Springs, Mo., passed away April 3, 2013, at Westridge Gardens Nursing Home, Raytown, Mo. Private Burial of the cremated remains will be at Memorial Park Cemetery, KCMO. A celebration of life dinner is being planned for family and friends on Saturday, April 27. Call (816) 229- 0507 for time and location. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Heartland Hospice, 1001 E. 101st Terr., Suite 180, KCMO 64131. Catrina was born Jan. 10, 1973, in KCMO to Roger L. Smith and Cathleen A. Noll-Smith. Catrina spent most of the last eight months of her life in a diabetic coma at Kindred Hospital Northland in KCMO. She was a member of St. John LaLande Catholic Church in Blue Springs. Catrina will be remembered for her kind heart and her dog grooming skills. She was preceded in death by her father, Roger L. Smith, her maternal grandparents, William and Betty Turner-Noll and her paternal grandparents, Lewis and Alice Thomann-Smith. Survivors include husband, Jimmy Henderson, mother, Cathleen A. Noll-Smith of Blue Springs, brother, Roger L Smith II and wife Stephanie of Kingsville, Mo., brother, Benjamin M Smith and wife Megan of Omaha, Neb., sons, Michael M. Smith and Robert L. Mills, Jr. of Blue Springs, Mo., son, Patrick D. Smith of Kansas City, Kan., and six nieces.
