JOHNSON, KENNETH LEON - Kansas City  
Kenneth Leon Johnson, 82, of Raytown, MO was promoted to Heaven on September 1, 2015 in his home. Services will be held on Friday, September 4, 2015 at Beacon Free Will Baptist Church in Raytown, MO at 2:00 pm. Visitation will be held from 12:30-2:00 pm, interment will follow at Longview Cemetery, Kansas City, MO. Born on May 23, 1933 in Roy (Douglas County), Missouri, the only son of Aude and Alice Johnson. He was united in marriage on April 23, 1955 to Doris June Hall in Ava, MO. To this union were born four daughters, Brenda, Glenda, Mary and Elizabeth. Kenneth graduated from Ava High School in 1952. He delivered furniture for Sears for 26 years. Throughout his life he enjoyed gardening, traveling, tinkering, fishing, hunting, cooking, perusing flea markets and garage sales, and woodworking. He enjoyed teaching his hobbies to his grandchildren: Chris, Kimberly, and Crystal. He was preceded in death by his wife, Doris June; his parents; and his sister, Virginia Lee Johnson. Kenneth later married Lois JoAnne Young on March 10, 1996 in Raytown, MO. At that time four more children: Roger, Kevin, Del Lora, and JoAnne were added to his family. After marrying Lois they joined Beacon Free Will Baptist Church in Raytown, MO. Kenneth was an active member of Beacon Free Will Baptist Church, where many people at the church enjoyed his cooking. Survivors include wife, Lois; sister, Marian Cunningham of Fordland, MO; and children: Brenda (Jim) Smith, Roger Clemmons, Glenda Robinson, Mary (Mark) Sands, Kevin (Annie) Young, Del Lora (John) Lillibridge, Elizabeth (Bill) Merkley, and JoAnne (Frankie) Fuller; and many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. LAUDAN, CATHERINE HAMILTON - Bonner Springs  
CATHERINE HAMILTON LAUDAN Catherine "Cathy" Hamilton Laudan, age 89, of Lenexa and previously of Bonner Springs, KS., passed away on Monday, August 31, 2015, peacefully at Pinnacle Ridge Nursing Home in Olathe, Kansas. A Celebration of her life will be 2:00p.m. Saturday, Sept. 5th at the First Christian Church of Bonner Springs (148 N. Nettleton Ave.). The family will receive friends at a visitation from 1 to 2pm prior to the service also at the church. Memorial Contributions can be made to the American Diabetes Association in care of the Alden- Harrington Funeral Home. Cathy was born on July 26, 1926 in Arlberg, Arkansas and was the oldest of three daughters born to Sylvester & Marie Robbins. As a child she moved with her family to Bonner Springs and she graduated from Bonner Springs High School. Cathy married her high school sweetheart, William LeRoy Hamilton and together they raised their children in Bonner Springs. Cathy had worked as a Key Punch Operator for Hallmark Cards and later worked at, and retired from, TWA as an Accountant. She was preceded in death by her first husband, William LeRoy Hamilton, and later married, James A. "Al" Laudan. Together they were very active in People to People International, The Kansas City Chiefs Red Coaters, as well as local and regional politics that culminated with them being invited and attending President Ronald Regan's, Inaugural Ball. Cathy and Al enjoyed extensive travel all over the world. She was preceded in death by her parents, one daughter Connie Hamilton, her second husband James A. "Al" Laudan, one son Ronald L. Hamilton, two sisters Viola Oelschlaeger and Christine Turner. Survivors include, two sons William Hamilton of Shawnee, KS., and Michael Hamilton and his wife Rhoda of Shawnee, KS., grandson Toby Hamilton of Overland Park, KS., granddaughter Amy Bell and her husband Lucas of Prairie Village, KS., and one great-grandson Felix. Anna McGraw, 92, of Kansas City, Kansas, passed away August 31, 2015 at home. Funeral services will be 9:00 a.m., Sat., Sept. 5th at Chapel Hill - Butler, 701 N. 94th St., Kansas City, KS 66112. Interment will follow in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Wycliffe Bible Translators, 7500 W Camp Wisdom Rd., Dallas, TX 75236. Anna was born March 9, 1923 in Warrensburg, MO to Emanuel and Julia Kallaras. She graduated as Valedictorian from Wyandotte High School and married John McGraw in February of 1943. Anna was a pioneer in information technology, working as a programmer and systems analyst at Westinghouse Flight Test Division, First National Bank of Kansas City, MO, Honolulu Savings and Loan, and Johnson County Court Systems. She was a founding member and part owner of DSI, a KC headquartered software company, before her retirement in 1988. After retirement, Anna volunteered for over ten years as a systems analyst for Wycliffe Bible Translators. Over the years, she attended Wolcott Baptist Church, Fairfield Baptist Church in Houston and finally Lenexa Baptist Church. She was passionate about serving the Lord as a choir director, Sunday school teacher and loved engaging people in spiritual conversation. Anna loved astronomy, playing the piano, and singing, especially in a trio with her sisters. She was preceded in death by her parents, Emanuel and Julia Kallaras; her beloved husband, John McGraw; her sisters, Katherine Bocell and Betty Lou Kallaras; and her son-in- law, Terry Cook. Anna is survived by her children, Marcia Cook, Mike McGraw (Janice), and Joe McGraw (Darlene); her sister, Connie Shotwell; her grandchildren, Kristianne Wargo (Brad), Vincent Cook, Kimberly Wisener, Matt McGraw (Mellisa), Jim McGraw, Mari Butler (Curt), Jon McGraw (Gretchen), Beth Meysenburg (Jason), and Susie Kluttz (Ryan); as well as twenty-one great- grandchildren and many other friends and family. Dorothy K. Misner, 97, KCMO, passed Sept 1st, 2015. Funeral services will be at 11:00am on Sat, Sept 5th at Charter Funerals, 77 NE 72nd Street, Gladstone, with visitation beginning at 9:30am. Burial at Mound Grove Cemetery. Dorothy was born July 13th, 1918 in Kansas City to Lee Warren and Edna Pearl Burge. She was a 1936 graduate of Northeast High School. Dot was an accomplished pianist and teacher. She started playing piano in church at the age of ten and continued playing for weddings, funerals, and other events for many years. She had a lifelong involvement in the PTA and in children's education at all of her kids' schools, and was also a member and priest of the Community of Christ Church. Dorothy was a loyal KC Royals fan and has her own brick at Kauffman Stadium to illustrate that. Dorothy always had a smile, a kiss, and a hug for everyone. She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles; son, Jerry; and sisters, Hazel Burge and Lois Sherman. Survivors include her children: Edward Misner (wife, Glenda), Patricia Cole (husband, Randy), and Kathy Essary; her beloved grandchildren: Charles Misner, Anne Marie Hays, Amy Curnow, Randy Cole, Jacquie Wooten, and Maria Essary; and nine great grandchildren whom she dearly loved. Lois Moore, 87, passed away September 2, 2015. Lois was born August 18, 1928 in KC, KS to John and Agnes Tolin.
