Andre' Racca Obituary

Andre' Racca, 14, Olathe, Kan., passed away in an auto accident on January 3, 2007, along with his mother, in southern Arkansas. A vigil service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at Prince of Peace Catholic Church in Olathe, where the family will receive friends and share in a rosary from 9 a.m. until service time. Burial will be with his mother in Louisiana at a later date. The Penwell-Gabel Funeral Home, Olathe Chapel is in charge of arrangements. Andre, we met you and Ariel for the first time on Thanksgiving Day when the two of you, along with your mom, came over. Our son, Frank, spoke so highly of all of you. He wanted us to meet you and said that we would like you. He was right! We had a wonderful time, anyone would have thought that we had known each other for a lifetime and we just met. We consider ourselves fortunate to have met you. However, never in a million years did we think that our encounter with you would be "only once". We were to gather soon for your mom's Jambalaya and we were so looking forward to that, which I'm so sad will never happen. Our lives are changed forever by those we meet, if only for a brief moment, we are truly blessed to have had the opportunity to meet you and your mom. Both of you will forever remain in our hearts.
