One Sweet Day

Sorry I never told you
All I wanted to say
And now it's too late to tell you
'Cause you've flown away
So far away

Never had we imagined
Living without your smile
Feeling and knowing you hear us
It keeps us alive

And I know you're shining down on us from heaven
Like so many friends we've lost along the way
And I know eventually we'll all be together

One sweet day
Evetually we'll see you in heaven...

We Miss You Tony! I walk by the picture of ALL of us cousins everyday, and I see your smile. Your smile can bring me tears of happiness because you could light up a room with your smile, yet I have tears of sadness because WE LOVE YOU AND MISS YOU!!!!

Tony
I stopped by to visit you yesterday. I brought Quinn with me. It's not a day that goes by that I don't think of you. Every single day, you are in my thoughts. I miss you something terrible. We had fun didn't we? Job & bar hopping together. When I left a job, I knew you wouldn't be long out the door behind me. lol Remember the time I talked you in to going to St. Joe, MO to visit a former resident of ours. Remember when we were stuck in Shawnee Mission & the antifreeze was leaking from the bonneville. Boy I didn't we were going to make it back to KCK lol. What fun we had. You were always ready to go somewhere!! Didn't matter where. I miss that spontaneous spirit of yours. You were a good kid & I'm glad I got to know you. You have left me with wonderful memories & I will carry them with me always. I love you Tony. Tina

Tony-

I have wrestled over when and what to write to you when I do. I admire all of the people who have had the courage to illustrate their thoughts out in front of the world (and you) to see. It is at this point in time that I have realizied I'm not prepared to squeeze all my thoughts into this entry. I really enjoyed the time we spent together this afternoon, I will see you tomorrow. I miss you and love you with all of my heart. Thank you for helping me, Mom, Nick, Sonya, Tori, and our grandparents through this time. I will always be looking for your ladybug.

Your bro,

Christian

Mary,
I just learned of Tony's death this past week. I am shocked! Please know that my love and prayers will be with you for the days, weeks, and months to come. It seems like just yesterday that I was in school with Chris and babysitting for Tony and Nick. They were such good boys - little stinkers, but good. Thank goodness for memories.

My parents have walked this walk and one thing that I have learned from them is that there is no rhyme or reason to grief. Each day is different and that is okay. Just remember to stand strong in your faith and lean on God when you don't think you can go on. Keep close to those who love you and who are willing to help you share the good memories of your wonderful son, Tony.
Wtih love and prayers...

My Dearest Mary & Family,

I wish I had known Tony better, but I feel I had a good sense of his kind and gentle manner. I will always remember that he accompanied you to Nick's and my wedding and you were by far the handsomest couple there. All of the beautiful messages are a testimony to his character and that which his dear mother instilled in him. God bless all of you in your time of sadness. Remember that the "love" never dies, but remains always in your heart. Love you,

We just heard the sad news tonight...we are so, so sorry for your loss. We have so many fond memories of our carpooling days at St. Pats with Chris, Nick, and Tony. I remember how Tony would always tell us girls how pretty we looked every morning when we climbed into the back of the station wagon. He always knew how to make us smile! Please know that the Mizell family will be praying for Tony and all of you in this difficult time. May your faith in God and His everlasting love bring you comfort. We want you to know that when we think of Tony, his memory will always bring a smile to our faces.

Some people come to our lives for a short time to touch our hearts and teach us something. For those of us that Tony touched, we will forever remember his smile, good sense of humor and loving personality. To his family and friends, may the Lord grant you peace.

Dear Tony,

I just want to let you know that I love you, and though I didn't really get to see you as often as I would have liked, I thought about you all the time, and I still do. Your smile always put the biggest smile on my face, and your hugs were the best and so comforting. I know that you're in a better place now, and I'm glad that I got to know you throughout our lives. I long for the day that we will meet again in heaven. May you rest in peace and I will think about you every day and you will forever be in my heart. I love you so much, my wonderful cousin.
Love Always,
Jessica

To Tony's family,
I worked with Tony for over a year at Village Shalom and he was the most loving, caring, respectable person I've had the opportunity to work with. He was one in a million. He was wonderful with the residents he cared for. Often, he would go out of his way to cheer up and make someone smile. He will be sorely missed and long remembered. My thoughts and prayers are with you.

Chris, Charles and I are so sorry for the loss of your brother, Tony. Shawn called us as soon as he knew and was quite grieved.

We never know why we lose loved ones and just have faith that God chose to bring Tony home for a greater need.

His life and death will leave a lasting impression on those he ministered to and those who hold a special place in their hearts for him.

We love you, Chris, and send our love and compassion your way. Love, Lynn and Charles

I think that it's unfair, i know that i'll miss him if no one else does, i feel that i should have hung out with him more often, he was someone to admire, even though he always told me that he admired me, even though i could never understand why, if anything, it ws his energetic attitude towards life that i'll miss, his stories he loved to tell was always very entertaining, which was something i envied, since i really didn't have much to come back with, but most of all, there were many things that i'll learned from him, and he is someone that i'll never forget, I'll always carry him in my heart, now and forever.

My roommate worked with Tony at Village Shalom and on a daily basis she would bring home stories of the sweet gentle man that he was and how he took extra care with the ladies at the facility. We heard so much of him we feel we have lost a friend also. May God be close to you in your time of grief and know that some day you will be with this wonderful man again. Peace be with you.

My deepest thoughts and prayers are with all of you ......Tony was one in a million, so caring and so giving.....
In Loving Memory Of Our Cousin
Tony
If tears could build a stairway,
And memories were a lane.
I would walk right up to heaven,
To bring you home again.
No farewell words were spoken,
No time to say good-bye.
You were gone before I knew it,
And only God knows why.
My heart still aches in sadness,
And secret tears still flow.
What it meant to lose you,
No one will ever know.
You and angels around Gods happy throne. I would have held you closer
if only I had known.
We all love you Tony! Staci, Jessica, Daniel and Danny
