Clark C. Bell

Clark C. Bell, 40, Overland Park, Kan., passed away peacefully in his sleep on Tuesday, June 24, 2008. Memorial services will be held 1:30 p.m. July 8, at Indian Heights United Methodist Church, 103rd and Nall, Overland Park, KS 66207. Visitation will begin at 1 p.m. at the church prior to the service. The family suggests contributions to the National MS Society, Mission, KS; or The Greater Kansas City Humane Society. Clark was born June 19, 1968, in Hutchinson, Minn., and was a 1986 graduate of Shawnee Mission South High School. Clark never lost his love of the outdoors. He enjoyed hiking, mountain biking, and gardening. His hobby was raising bearded dragons, snakes, turtles and lizards which he used to teach his son that all creatures, great and small, were part of the universe. He also enjoyed writing poetry and watching the History and Discovery Channels. With his captivating smile, he made many friends whom he carried a deep love for. Clark was a loving son and brother. His son, Nick, was the center of his world. Clark is survived by his son, Nicholas Shane Bell; the mother of his son, Tonia Bell; his parents, Richard and Sharie Bell; sister and brother-in-law, Heidi and James Bertoncin; maternal grandfather, Grant Willmert of Glencoe, Minn.; and aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
