GEORGIANA M. O'GARA(1925 - 2014)

Georgiana (Georgie) M. O'Gara, 88, Overland Park, KS, passed away February 9, 2014 at home surrounded by her family. Mass of Christian Burial will be 11 a.m. Thursday, February 13 at Queen of the Holy Rosary Catholic Church, 7023 W. 71st Street, Overland Park. Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Wednesday, February 12 at McGilley & Hoge Chapel, 8024 Santa Fe Drive, Overland Park, KS. Georgiana M. Foster was born on February 12, 1925, in Winfield, IL, to parents Reginald Guy and Marie (Zidek) Foster. Although she retired from employment at the Jones Store and real estate sales, Georgie's life centered on her beloved family. Her beautiful smile and brilliant wit endeared her to so many. Her family will always cherish her unique and personally coined phrases they called 'Georgie-isms.' She was a faithful member of Queen of the Holy Rosary parish since 1968. She was preceded in death by her husband, Edward F. O'Gara; and siblings Reginald Guy and Daniel W. Foster, Katharine Foster Hegarty, Madeline M. McKeon, and Barbara A. Rosetti. She is survived by a daughter, Cynthia (Bryan) O'Gara Smith; sons: Bill (Melissa) O'Gara and Guy (Sue) O'Gara; by 10 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.
