Harry Charles Marshall, 77, of North Kansas City, passed peacefully on May 20, 2014, at KU Medical Center, with his wife Etta at his side. We will celebrate his life with visitation beginning at 6 p.m., followed by Masonic, Mic-O-Say and military honors at 7 p.m., on Tuesday, May 27, at Park Lawn Northland Chapel, I-35 at State Route 291, Liberty. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to Fairview Christian Church or Ararat Shrine Cornerstone or Hospital Transportation Funds. Harry was born February 15, 1937, in Indianapolis, Indiana, one of two children of Harry Charles and Rosemary (Culley) Marshall. He served in the U.S. Air Force, flying F-86 aircraft, and was a member of Gladstone American Legion. He was a graduate of Purdue University
. Harry worked many years as a claims adjustor for Zurich Insurance before retirement. He was a member of Fairview Christian Church, Rising Sun Masonic Lodge, Scottish Rite Valley of Kansas City, Ararat Shrine Temple and its Greeter Unit. He was also a member of Liberty and RaKla Shrine Clubs. Harry was active with Boy Scout Troop 155, and a member of the Tribe of Mic-O-Say, where he was Screeching Night Owl. Harry's first wife, Dyanne, preceded him in death in 1997. They had two children, Douglas and Beth Ann, and grandsons, Eric and Matthew. Survivors include his wife, Etta; sister, Ruth Ann Taylor; and nephew, Jeff. He also leaves Etta's family: children, Cynthia Pipes and Vincent Pipes (Dawn); grandchildren, Christopher Bland, James Bland (Shanna), Genevieve Pipes and Anthony Pipes (Emma); great grandsons, Kayden and Dayton.
