Ira D. "Jack" Clark, 80, of Kansas City, KS, passed away Saturday, January 4, 2014 at Sharon Lane Nursing and Rehab. Masonic Services will be 10:00 AM Friday, January 10, at the Porter Funeral Home, 1835 Minnesota Ave. Kansas City, KS. Burial in Highland Park Cemetery. Visitation will be 5-7:00 PM Thursday at the Porter Funeral Home. Memorial contributions may be made to Heartland SPCA. Mr. Clark was born April 21, 1933, in Hernshaw, West Virginia. Jack was a relief man for the Auto Electricians at General Motors. He was a co-owner of E&J Small Engines with his partner Ernie Edmonds. Jack also was a Kansas City, Kansas Umpire for 30 years, and a Starter and Marshall for Painted Hills. He was a member of the UAW #31, Delaware Masonic Lodge #96, AARP, American Legion and ESCO Institute. He was a veteran serving in the United States Air Force during the Korean War. Jack was preceded in death by his parents, 5 brothers , a sister, and adopted son Danny L. Gollhar. He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Linda L. Clark; 4 children: Jerry W. Walsh, Jacqueline (Dennis) Kessler, Shawna M. (John) Headley, Victoria S. Clark; 8 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren, sister, 5 brothers, and many nieces and nephews.
