MARGARET "PEGGY" Williams

WILLIAMS Peggy Williams, 85, passed away September 10, 2013. Visitation will begin at 2:00 p.m. followed by funeral services at 3:00 p.m. Saturday, September 14 at Park Lawn Funeral Home, 8251 Hillcrest Rd. Burial will be in Green Lawn Cemetery. Peggy was born September 17, 1927 in Chillicothe, MO, to Oliver Dewey and Mary Helen (Dayton) Engleman. After high school, Peggy moved to Kansas City to attend the St. Joseph's Hospital School of Nursing and graduated in 1948. She worked at St. Joseph Hospital and retired in 1989 from Baptist Medical Center. Peggy loved to spend time with her granddaughters and great granddaughters. She was famous for her pumpkin pies, no bake cookies and brownies. She was a member of St. Margaret of Scotland Catholic Church, Lee's Summit, MO. Peggy was a long time member of the Federated Women's Club, Lee's Summit Chapter. She was preceded in death by her parents, her siblings and her sons Stephen Scaletty and Bob Scaletty. She leaves her husband, Bob Williams; son, Rick (Kathy) Scaletty of Lee's Summit, MO; daughters, Karen (Tony) Evans of Stillwell, KS, and Sandy (Ron) Rice of Holden, MO; step sons, Mike Williams of Odessa, MO and Mitch Williams of Independence, MO; step daughters, Rhonda Fisher of Oak Grove, MO and Roxanna Houle of Odessa, MO; six grandchildren, Melia Scaletty, Gina Scaletty, Jennifer (Jim) Rottinghaus, Emilee Rice, Stephanie (Mike) Graeber and Tiffany (James) Dauber; three great grandchildren, Audry Graeber, Lila Graeber and Reese Rottinghaus. The family would like to thank Dr. Steve Buie, the nurses, doctors, and care partners at Lee's Summit Hospital, Wilshire, and Kansas City Hospice House.
