Wilbur Eugene Biggerstaff, 89, of Sebring, Fla., passed away Friday, March 21, 2014, at Somer Hospice House. He was born Sept. 18, 1924 in Cameron, Mo., to Olin and Irene (Wamsley) Biggerstaff. Wilbur graduated from high school in Orange, Calif., then enlisted in the US Navy
where he served from 1942 to 1945 and then from 1948 to 1958. He married Pauline Estelle LeBlanc from Manchester, NH, on Sept. 23, 1950. After the service, Wilbur and family moved back to Cameron, where he lived until 1998. At that time, he and Pauline moved to Sebring. Wilbur was preceded in death by his son, Monty Biggerstaff, and grandson, Joshua Biggerstaff. He is survived by his wife, Pauline, and seven children, Michael Biggerstaff (Berniece) of Celina, Ohio, Diane Burnett (C.S.) of Trenton, Ga., John Biggerstaff (Wendy) of Independence, Mo., Teresa Dennis, of Sebring, Fla., Jim Biggerstaff (Julie) of Sulphur Springs, Texas, Bill Biggerstaff (Susie) of Lee's Summit, Mo., and Joe Biggerstaff (Christi) of Kidder, Mo. He is also survived by his daughter-in-law, Julie Biggerstaff of Kansas City, Mo., 20 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren.
