CLARICE JENKINSON Obituary

Clarice M. Jenkinson, 88, Kansas City, Mo., passed away April 3, 2012. A Celebration of Life will be at 6 p.m. Friday, April 6, at Mount Moriah Terrace Park Funeral Home, with visitation 5 to 6 p.m. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to Liberty United Methodist Church Missions or Hillcrest Transitional Housing. Clarice lived out her life the way God intended in Matthew 22:34-39. Clarice never met a stranger and loved the unlovable. Throughout her lifetime her sons were witnesses to her unfailing love and her unfailing love for God. She was preceded in death by her husband, John Jenkinson. She worked hard to provide a loving home for her boys. She loved her husband dearly. She wore her wedding ring until the day she passed and a picture of John was always on her bedside table. Survivors include her sons , John Jenkinson II, a Vietnam war veteran, and wife Jane, Jim Jenkinson, and wife Terry, all of Kansas City, and grandchildren, John Jenkinson III, and Jamie Lynn Jenkinson. Mom we love you and will miss you. Condolences may be sent to mountmoriahterracepark.com. To the Jenkinson Family: It is always a shock to heard of the passing of someone we always thought would be around and was when it mattered. Susan and I will always hold Clarice in our hearts as the truly warm and unselfish person she alway was, for memories of those who we truly hold dear are immortality, they will always be with us, and she will be. Her passing is painful, but her love remains and grows.

To the Jenkinson family,
Whenever I think of Clarice, a smile comes to my face and a loving feeling surrounds me. This is how she made you feel whenever you were around her. She was a very special woman with truly loving ways. I know how difficult it is for all of you right now and you are in my thoughts and prayers. May memories comfort you during the difficult times.

Jim,
I only know your mother through her influence on you. But I can assure you that it was a wonderful influence -- of the kind that never ends and only keeps growing. The kind that shows the truest Love which never ends, and because of that Love neither will we! Hope to meet her in Heaven someday and thank her for her faith and love! Today's Good Friday, but Sunday's coming!

We will all miss her sweet smile and laugh. I would greet her every morning for her meds and she would say there's my girl with that special knock. Then I"d get hugs and kisses, and she'd just giggle. Love you Clarice.
