My mother always spoke so highly of Leo. He was a perfect example of how we should try to help each other in this world. He earned our family's highest respect, as he did so many in the community.

I always admired his drive. He was always in deep thought. I could only wish to be as accomplish just half of what he did in my own life. He gave me a chance when he hired me. At that time I was young and dumb. I learned so much from him. We worked produce together with Tommy Farr alot. That is when we would all three talk about the grocery business. We have lost a great man.

I am grateful for the life of Mr. Glick. Thanks to his service and to the service of others in our armed forces, my family and I have been able to lead our lives in freedom and peace.

Leo was a very giving man to any one who needed it. Several times I watched as he open his wallet and gave the people money to feed their family,or diapers and milk for their babies. That is a good honest heart. I always respected and admired him. He told me several stories of when he started the grocery business. The man never raised his voice to any of his employe's but he made his point very clear of what he expected. Compair that to todays employer's. There is just to many good things about leo to get on here . He was appreciated.

To Leos' wonderful wife Edna and loving children I send our sincerist sympathy. What an influence Leo made on so many lives including mine. Ginny and the Glick family took me in with open arms in the 70s when I did my Student teaching. I will never forget those weeks that I witnessed what the true meaning of "close-knit" family felt like. Yours Truly, Janine (Kline) Sisk

Mr. Glick was known in the community as a great and kind man. My mother always loved talking with him at his store in Platte City. He will always be remembered for his pleasant demeanor as well as his achievements in the business world. My thoughts are with his friends and family at this time.
