Wish I would have met Frank sooner. He let me and a friend do some metal detecting around his house. Found nothing of value. He invited us in for a little visit. What a nice man sure he will be missed. RIP

I am the son of Twyla (Paxton) Milano. My mom grew up with Frank in Atherton (born the same year) and although she moved to California when she was 21, she always spoke fondly of Frank.

My sister and I and two of her daughters flew back to Missouri in June 2015 to tell Frank of my mom's passing because he met so much to her. He was riding his scooter on his "back 40" when we found him and he was very cordial when introduced ourselves. We talked for awhile and I won't forget the look he gave us when we were driving away. It was as though he knew it was the end of an era.

I felt I owed him more, and so, I made a commitment to write him a letter. Tonight I sat down to write that letter, and was disheartened to learn of his passing when I searched the internet for his mailing address.

I'm sorry Frank for letting my personal life get in the way of writing that letter. I should have written it immediately upon my return to California. However, I can take some comfort in knowing you and your wife, and my mom and dad, are now reunited after being interrupted by the passing of friends and spouses. However, I must say it truly is an end to an era.
