BERNARDINE L. SHUTT

Bernardine L. Shutt, 76, passed away from cancer, Sunday, Aug. 28, 2011, surrounded by her family. She was born Oct. 4, 1934 in Mt. Pulaski, Ill. The daughter of John & Louise (Rentmeister) Bertsche. She attended MacMurray College, Jacksonville, Ill. She married Donald W. Shutt Aug.16, 1958. They were the proud parents of three sons. They raised their children in Florissant, MO and later moved to Blue Springs, MO. Bernardine worked for the SSA and retired from FDIC. She was a member of the Abiding Savior Lutheran Church. She loved visiting grandchildren, trips to Branson, and her memorable trip to Hawaii. She enjoyed shopping and lunches with dear friends. She was preceded in death by her son Jeffery Shutt, twin brother Bernard, and father. Bernardine is survived by her devoted husband Don of 53 years, sons Mark (Shari), Gregory (Stephanie) & Grandchildren, Brittney (Ben) Conine, Jacquie & Madison Shutt and her dear mother Louise Bertsche. Visitation will be Wednesday, Sept 7th from 6:00- 8:00 p.m. at Speaks Suburban Chapel; 18020 E. 39th St. Indep, MO. Funeral services to be held on Thursday, Sept. 8th at 10:00 a.m. at the funeral home. Graveside service will be Saturday, Sept. 10, 2011, 10:00 a.m. at Mt. Pulaski cemetery, Mt. Pulaski Il.
