FRANCES (GIORDANO) CUTRERA Frances (Giordano) Cutrera, 83, Lee's Summit, Mo., passed away Sunday, July 27, 2014, at her home surrounded by her family. Visitation will be 3 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, July 30, Passantino Bros. Funeral Home, 2117 Independence Blvd., Kansas City, MO 64124. Family and friends will gather for a funeral service at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, July 31, at Red Bridge Baptist Church, 4901 E. Red Bridge Rd., Kansas City, MO 64137. Burial will follow in Mount Olivet Cemetery. Frances was born Aug. 16, 1930, in Kansas City to Saverio and Antonina (Catalano) Giordano. She was a wonderful wife, mother and grandmother. Her home was always open to her children and grandchildren, especially on Sundays. Frances was an amazing cook. She always put her husband and children before herself. She had a wonderful sense of humor and was a fan of the Kansas City Royals and Chiefs, often sporting their jerseys. Frances was preceded in death by her parents; grandchildren, Michelle Marie Cutrera and Johnny Joe Cutrera; sisters, Minnie Giordano and Dominica Bongiovanni; and brothers, Christopher Giordano, Nick Giordano, Paul Giordano, Peter Giordano, Christopher Paul Giordano, and Joe Giordano. Frances is survived by her husband of 65 years, Frank A. Cutrera; her children and their spouses, Joe and Anna Clare Cutrera, Joanne and Nick Fazzino, Anna and Sam Broberg, Sam P. Cutrera, Rose Marie Kelly, Frank J. Cutrera, Nick and Pilar Cutrera; 15 grandchildren; 16 great- grandchildren; sister and brother-in- law, Marie and Carl Saitta; sisters-in- law, Virginia Giordano, Audrey Giordano, Teresa Cavallaro; and many nieces and nephews. My sister, my friend, my confidante. I will miss her more than she could have ever imagined! I can only keep my trust in God to console me. Love you all and will pray that God will keep you all strong. She loved you all so deeply! It was so hard for her to leave you. I am so thankful to have had her as my sister.
