Anthony Abato, 51, passed away Sunday, December 30, 2007. Graveside services will be 12 noon Thursday, January 3 at Resurrection Cemetery, 5001 NE Cookingham Dr., Kansas City, MO 64156. Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. Wednesday at Passantino Bros. Funeral Home, 2117 Independence Blvd., Kansas City, MO 64124, where a prayer service will begin at 7 p.m. Anthony was born December 8, 1956 in Kansas City, MO. He was the 1975 valedictorian of Lee's Summit High School, where he was a member of the track team. He worked as a roofer. Anthony was preceded in death by his father, Eugene Abato. Survivors include his mother, Carmela (Mancini) Barresi; daughter, Monica Abato; brother, Phillip Abato; sister, Lori Majors; grandchildren, Anthony, Markeese, and Angelo; nephew and niece, Alex and Allison; loving girlfriend, Ruth McDaniel; and many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
