DORIS MATHEWS

Doris Mathews, 80, passed away January 1, 2012. Memorial services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 7, at Floral Hills Funeral Home. Contributions are suggested to the American Diabetes Assoc. Doris was a lifelong area resident. She worked as a secretary for Ward Parkway Health Services and St. Joseph Medical Center for over 30 years, retiring in 1996. Doris was a member of High Point Baptist Church and she loved to travel and spend time with friends and family. She was preceded in death by a son, Michael Mathews. Survivors include a son and his wife, Gary and Edi Mathews; a daughter and her husband, Joni and Richard Hutson; a sister and her husband, Wanda and Jerry Webster, five grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
