Eileen June Wade, age 90, of Webb City, Mo, passed away Sun., Dec 11, 2011 after a short illness. Eileen was born July 18, 1921 in Minneapolis, MN, to Neil Tiedmen Torgerson and Winnefred (Wood) Torgerson. She graduated from Lansboro High School in Lanesboro, MN, in 1939. She married her first and only love Robert H. "Tony" Wade, Dec. 5, 1939 and they had 57 years together before he passed. She leaves three chil- dren, Patricia Johnson (Corky) of Webb City, Robert J. Wade (Cathy) of Kansas City, and Kim C. Wade (Niki) of Ray- town, younger sister Mary Lou Erhardt of Jupiter, FL. She has 7 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren. She eloped at age 18 and moved to California during WWII while her husband was in the Navy. She built bombers for the Defense Department. She was an outstanding seamstress and artist. She worked for interior decorator Serman Anderson of Independence for 20 years. She did repairs to paintings, furnishing and helped decorate the Vaile Mansion in Independence She played trombone in high school, which her sons and great grandsons played also. She loved her family, teaching Sunday school for 50 years, and was a cub scout den mother when her sons were in scouting. She loved hiking, camping and reading. She made us all laugh and we loved her very much. Services will be 2 p.m., Wed., Dec. 14 at Charter Funerals, 5000 Blue Ridge Cutoff, Kansas City, MO, with a visitation 1-2 p.m. Burial in Mt.
