1926 - 2014 | Obituary Condolences
George David Webster, 88, born 2/22/1926, formerly of Paola, Kansas and Linn Valley Lakes, died 5/10/ 2014 at Prescott Country View Nursing Home, Prescott, Kansas. He served in the Navy from 1943 until his honorable discharge in 1946. George was united in marriage to Maxcine Whitney on October 26, 1963 at Kansas City, Missouri. He worked as a tool and die machinist. He had worked at Ingersoll Machine and Welding in Paola for four years and Union Machine and Tool Works in Kansas City, Kansas for over 30 years. He was preceded in death by his wife; parents; five brothers Bill, Johnny, Fred, Frank, and Charles; and sister Edna Webster. He is survived by his sister Gloria Webster; step children Randolph Harris III, Wilda Cooper, Robin Robinson, and Janet (Thurman)Pittman; a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, other relatives and friends. Visitation will be 1 to 1:30 p.m., Saturday, May 17, 2014 with a memorial service immediately following at 1:30 p.m., Penwell-Gabel Funeral Home, 305 N. Pearl, Paola, KS, 66071. Inurnment will take place at a later date.
