Obituary Condolences

George Frank Visnosky, 92, of Powersite, Mo passed away Tuesday, July 23, 2013 at his home. He was born July 16, 1921 in Kansas City, KS. George was the son of Slovakian parents, Joseph & Suzanne (Meck) Visnosky. George served in the Navy from 1942-1946 at a Carpenters Mate Third Class stationed in the Pacific. He retired after 42 years as an Inventory Controller for Swift & Co/Conagra. Shortly after his retirement he moved his family to Branson where he resided for the last 27 years. He was a member of Our Lady of the Lakes Catholic Church. George married Thelma Jean Ross on May 30, 1947 in Olathe, Ks. They celebrated 66 years together this past May. He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers John & Joseph Visnosky, two sisters, Elizabeth Visnosky and Ann Zemaitis and one grandson Steven Visnosky. He is survived by his wife Thelma of the home and four children, son Ronald Visnosky (Tina Wright) of Omaha, Ar; daughter Victoria Otto Visnosky of Platte city, MO; son Larry Visnosky & wife Warangkana of Tampa, FL; son Michael Visnosky (Arlene Powell) of Kirbyville, MO; one sister, Josephine Gillinsky of Peoria, Il; 11 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren; along with many nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held Friday July 26 at 6:30 to 8:00 at Snapp-Bearden Funeral Home of Branson. Funeral service will be held Saturday, July 27, 10:30 A.M. at Our Lady of the Lakes Catholic Church. Burial will follow at Ozarks Memorial Park Cemetery, Branson.
