I just found out through a mutual friend of Heather's passing. I had tried to call her some time ago, and got a return call from Dawn, but we never connected. I feel so bad for Chad, Dawn and Heather's parents. She was a beautiful fun loving person, a joy to be around. It is obvious she lived a full and joyful life although so brief. As long as I live in Hyde Park and drive by that house, I will think of Heather and how much she loved living there.

Our dear little Heather. My heart breaks to hear of this news. Heather was always a little light that shined as our children played nearly every weekend. And as she grew, though I saw her seldome, realized that she had become became a beautiful girl with a heart of gold. I know Heather is fine, but that the family is crushed and filled with sorrow. Please call when the time is right. I love you all. My thoughts and prayers are always with you. Sue Idleman

I feel so fortunate to have known Heather when she lived with Dawn and me during our University of Iowa days. Heather made me laugh on a daily basis, and she was so full of life. Her charismatic personality was contagious, and I will never forget her. Dawn, I want you to know that you and your family are in my thoughts and prayers. You were not only a spectacular sister to Heather but a best friend to her as well. Love you! Jackie

Our thoughts and prayers go out to all of Heathers family and friends. Heather was for sure her own person and one I so adored. It was a pleasure just knowing we all at least got to share some of her life with her. She's in a higher place now hopefully knowing we all did care for her very much. May you forever rest peacefully and in our hearts we will miss you Heather.

My deepest sympathy to Dawn, Teena, Jeff, Frank and the entire family. I was saddened to hear of her passing yesterday & wish that I could be there to celebrate her life. My sister & I played with Dawn & Heather when we were little and our parents were very good friends. They were like a part of our family but once we moved, our families drifted apart. We always were able to start back up right where we left off even after not seeing each other for years.

Heather lit up a room with her smile and her vibrant personality. In my mind, Heather is still smiling, laughing and having fun. She is in a better place where cancer doesn’t exist. May God be with you.

All our love,
Bryan, Kristin, Peyton & Erin Idleman

I am so sorry for your loss. Heather was such a unique and beautiful woman. I haven't seen or heard of her since high school but she was always on my thoughts as to what has become of her. I hope she is finally at peace, as I know her battle with cancer was a tough one. I will never forget her smile or warm words when I did speak to her. Truly an engaging spirit that will be missed sorely by many. I am so thankful for sharing a fraction of her life when we were in high school. It was truly an honor and a privilege to have grown up with her. My heart felt thoughts go out to those family members and friends that she left behind. You will be missed Heather.

Sincerely,
Mike Brown (class of 1991)
