I will never forget the many mornings I walked with Jesse from the parking lot into work at the Library, discussing his beloved Chiefs, and finding my own inspiration in his toughness and perseverence. He was one of the good ones.

It is hard to find the words to express just how remarkable Jesse was. Everyone who encountered him met a thoughtful, selfless, and compassionate person; someone who was always thinking of and helping the other person. If only the world had more men like Jesse Pacheco, there would be far fewer problems. I want his sons to know that their father was one of the most inspirational men I have known. It was a pleasure and an honor to work with him. Although Jesse will not be walking among us on earth any longer, his spirit will live on in everyone who was privileged to know him.

Jesse was a shining example of the best of humanity, and I am grateful I knew him, and Theresa, through work. I believe they are reunited now in a place free of pain. In deepest sympathy to family and friends.

Jesse Pacheco looms large (in more ways than one!) in my memories of working at The Kansas City Public Library.

If I were asked to name a more decent human being, I would have to think long and hard, and then I probably wouldn't be able to come up with anybody.

His family and friends are in my prayers.

My condolences to Jesse's sons and family. Jesse was a true man in every sense of the word. His first priority was tending to his wife Theresa and his sons. His work ethic and dedication to his family and friends is beyond compare. I will truly miss your presence at our class reunion gatherings. Good night my dear friend.

I too worked with Jesse while I was in High School and even after I went to college. Jesse had a great heart. He was not only a friend but I considered him family. He came to my wedding, and to each of my kids baptisms. He was a great role model and a hard worker. He was a very thoughtful person and put others first. I will miss Jesse very much. My condolences to his family.

I remember both Jesse and Theresa so well. I have so much respect for them both. Jesse was never afraid of any job. There was no job too big or too small. My condolences to his family. He deserves all your love and respect.

Never a bad word to say about anyone, never without cheer in his voice even when sadness showed from his eyes, never complaining, always true to his family and his work, and without a doubt one of the most perfect creations. Shanti

Some of my fondest memories of Jesse were the times that we spent celebrating birthdays together, going to the lake to swim, and other "family" events. Although we weren't truly family, he always treated us as such. I was also fortunate enough to work for Jesse in the Sorting Room. He was a great role model and I credit my work ethic to him.

I'm sure Jesse is in heaven right now showing Jesus and God how he can rip a phone book in half.

Thank you Jesse for being there for me and my family. You will be sorely missed.

Jesse was perhaps the kindest, most thoughtful person I've ever met. He lived to help his fellow man and leaves a true legacy of greatness. He was a friend and mentor to me and to my family and will be missed by all who knew him. My only wish is that I could be more like him. Rest in Peace, Jesse and I look forward to seeing you again someday!
