I worked with John at C&S in the 1980s when he was a portfolio manager. He was always a lot of fun to be around. I remember him telling me about building a dollhouse for his daughter. I had not been in touch with him in a long time. But I'm so sad to hear that he passed away.

John was such an unusual, interesting and charming man. A wonderful life-long friend to my late husband Greg. Both lovely men gone now, and very missed by all. Love and prayers go out to Jan.

John was one of my all-time favorite people from the time we worked together in the early 1980's right on through life. I will certainly miss him.

You will be missed, but never forgotten, Uncle John. Thanks for everything, including teaching me how to play poker. Much love, and I will see you soon.

I was fortunate enough to have known John for over 35 years beginning from the time he was a client with C & S Bank in Atlanta.
Our mutual love of golf made for many fun games and in later years almost daily conversations about golf and other mutual interests.
Despite his illness John put on a great front and was more concerned about the well being of his family and friends than himself.
I will treasure our friendship all the remaining days of my life.
Rest in peace my dear friend..I sure miss you.

I was a childhood pal of John's and remember countless summer days playing golf at Milburn Country Club. I also remember spending the night many times at the Crockett's wonderful home on 59th Street. His Dad drove a Starfire convertible that we thought was fabulous. Although I have not kept up with John for many years, those fond memories will stay with me. My condolences to his family.
