JON THOMAS BROWN

Jon Thomas Brown, age 47, lost his 7 year battle with Melanoma on April 16, 2013. Jon wanted his story told, so "at least one person" could benefit from his misfortune. You see, Jon's doc- tors "watched" a mole for 10 years before removing it. . . by that time it was too late. It was Jon's wish that if you have a mole, "just take it off." He said "You can live with a scar!" Jon was a loving, kind, patient, for- giving man who had a wickedly funny sense of humor. Jon's parents died when he was a teenager. He was blessed with one Daughter, Candice Amber Brown, a Brother, Stephen Anthony Brown and two Sisters, Sandra Kay Nichols and Michelle Ann Brown, four neph- ews and two nieces. Jon's best friends were Jennifer Dean and Hugh Morrison. Jon loved his em- ployees at Z-Teca Mexican Grill and Three Little Pigs Barbeque restau- rants like family. Jon's Physical Therapist, Kay Laurent, was a very special angel to him. There is not enough time in the day to list all of Jon's friends. He was loved by many. Jon will live in our hearts and memo- ries forever. Please join us in celebrating Jon's life, Sunday, April 21, 2013 between 5 and 8pm at the Stanley Historic Event Space at 25 SE 3rd Street, Lee's Summit, MO 64063. Men are invited to wear Hawaiian shirts as a tribute to Jon. A fund is being estab- lished by his family and friends to continue to share Jon's message of early melanoma awareness. D. W.
