Mike invested greatly in my guitar playing from 1967 to 1971, driving 15 miles each week to pick me up from a farm near Wellsville to practice in various bands he formed. This is where I first gained any significant public performing experience in my musical background. Mike was a very generous person. I think I heard that when he was a security officer he saved someone from drowning. That's the type of person he was. I will always be grateful for his investment in my musical talents.
