PAUL M. MASTEN Obituary
Paul M. Masten, 95, KCMO, passed away March 7, 2014. Visitation will be 10:30 to 11 a.m. Tuesday, March 11, at St. Matthew's Episcopal Church with services at 11 a.m. Burial will follow at Floral Hills Memorial Gardens. Paul was born in Clarence, Mo., on March 14, 1918, to John and Allie Masten. He was united in marriage to Barbara (Pat) Ingalls on June 20, 1946. He is survived by his wife, Pat of 67 years; son, Alan (Jan) Masten; daughter, Paula (Steve) Stufflebam; sister, Lula Pridemore; six grandchildren; and four great grandchildren. Memorial contributions can be made to St. Matthew's Episcopal Church. He was an avid vegetable gardener and hunter, which earned him the nickname "Grandpa Bucky." He was a proud WWII Navy veteran, obtaining the rank of Boatswain's Mate 1st Class. He was a Plank Member, serving aboard the Destroyer, USS Hambleton, which saw action in the Atlantic, Pacific, and Mediterranean seas. He leaves behind a legacy of the value of hard work, honesty, and loyalty to family and friends. D. W.
