Phillip J. Abato, 49, passed away Tuesday, August 11, 2009. Graveside services will be 12 noon Friday, August 14 at Resurrection Cemetery, 5001 NE Cookingham Dr., Kansas City, MO 64156. Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. Thursday at Passantino Bros. Funeral Home, 2117 Independence Blvd., Kansas City, MO 64124, where a prayer service will begin at 6:30 p.m. Phil was born January 18, 1960 in Kansas City, MO. He attended Lee's Summit High School, and worked in roofing and construction. Phil was preceded in death by his father, Eugene Abato; and brother, Anthony Abato. Survivors include his mother, Carmela (Mancini) Barresi; sister, Lori Majors; nephew and nieces, Alex, Allison and Monica; and many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. (arr: Passantino Bros.
