Dear Reba and family, Ron was my second cousin. Our fathers were first cousins and good friends. Growing up our families were close and my brother, John, and Ron were best buddies. I have such fond memories of Ronnie growing up. I saw his obituary just today and am so sorry to hear of his passing. Please accept condolences from our entire family on this terrible loss. I was a young nurse at Parklane Medical Center when I met Dr. Hubbard plus on a personal level, Dr. Hubbard did a minor procedure on my daughter at a very young age and made her feel so at ease. But the best time were when I was shopping at Hyvee or at the Corner cafe and I would see him and his wife and he always a a great big hug. I will miss his smile and his stories and his big hugs. Rest in peace my friend. God Bless.

I had the privilege of first meeting Dr. Ron Hubbard as a medical student during General Surgery rotation. He was not only well-skilled as a surgeon, but was kind and compassionate. He had a keen sense of intuition which served him very well as a physician. He was a true gentleman, honest and trustworthy, ready to serve anyone along his journey. The Osteopathic profession has been greatly blessed by his wisdom and talent. As a teacher, I know that much of that wisdom and skill has been passed on to future generations. He will truly be missed. My condolences to all of his family.

Dr Hubbard was my mentor and my second father. He not only taught me how to operate and care for patients and their families, he taught me about life. I would not be where I am nor doing what I do if not for Dr Ron Hubbard. I only wish everyone on this planet could have met and talked to him. Heaven has a great new Angel. He will me greatly missed. God be with his lovely wife and keep her close In this time of grief. Guy

If one wants to know what a "great legacy" really is, they need only read Doc Hubbard's obituary.

A truly incredible and inspirational man! Just think how many spouses, children, parents, nieces, nephews etc... all had a second chance on life because Doc Hubbard was on duty to put their body back together again when and where it was needed. What a powerful legacy he leaves behind that few others can match. ;-)

My mother, Billie McCracken (now 87 years old), taught school with Reba at Pitcher elementary, MANY years ago. Our families did a lot of things together during those times. I will always have fond memories of Reba, Ron, and their boys. What a wonderful family! Prayers to you all.
