Lord Jesus, our Redeemer, You willingly gave Yourself up to death so that all people might be saved and pass from death into a new life. Listen to our prayers; look with love on Your people who mourn and pray for their dead sister. Lord Jesus, You alone are holy and compassionate; forgive our sister her sins.

By dying You opened the gates of life for those who believe in You; do not let Your sister be parted from You, but by Your glorious power give her light, joy, and peace in heaven where You live for ever and ever. Amen.

What a great lady! Virginia was like a MOM to me as I grew up and frequented her home often. She sewed several outfits for me, although she had her own children to provide for.....she treated me as if I were one of them. I can still hear her calling out my name at many "little league" softball games.....encouraging me to "hit the ball hard", or to "keep my eye on the ball". She was a beautiful lady, and we will miss her terribly. I am grateful that God added her to my life as a child. She made a great difference to this "small town country girl". My heart is with her family during this time of sadness and loss.
