Betty Louise (Moore) Loving, 89, Independence, MO passed away Sunday, February 9, 2014. She was born June 2, 1924 in Kansas City, MO, the daughter of Ross Hunter and Estella Clarice (Smith) Moore. Betty was a 1941 graduate of Southwest High School in Kansas City, MO, and received her AA degree in 1943 from Graceland College. Betty retired from the Shawnee Mission School District after 21 years. Survivors include her children and their spouses, Diane Louise and Bob Kyser, Paul Eric and Sandi Loving, Valle Jo and Alan Smith, Lucinda Gale and Charles Kincaid and Joel Mark and Kim (Deni) Loving; 17 grandchildren; 22 great grandchildren; daughter-in-law, Cathy Loving; sisters-in-law Lois Moore and Donna Moore. Betty was preceded in death by her husband Paul Loving in 2007; son, Kim Loving; brothers Phillip Moore and Howard Moore; and her parents. A memorial service will be held at Good Shepherd Community of Christ in Independence, MO Friday, February 14, at 10:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to the Shawnee Mission School District Special Education Program; Arrowhead Administrative Building attn.: Deborah Meyer 6601 Santa Fe Drive, Shawnee Mission, KS 66202.
