JACQUELINE MONACE CLAYMAN Obituary
JACQUELINE MONACE CLAYMAN Jacqueline Monace Clayman, 79, passed away on February 11, 2014 at her daughter's home in Olathe. A memorial mass will be held at 10:00 a.m. February 19, 2014 at Christ The King Church, 8510 Wornall Rd, Kansas City, MO. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial donations be made to: CurePSP, 30 E. Padonia Rd, Suite 201, Timonium, MD 21093. Jackie was born on February 19, 1934 in Long Beach, CA, the daughter of Jack & Esther White. She lived in Chicago and moved to Kansas City where she graduated from Westport High School in 1952. Jackie went to college in Warrensburg, had a promising singing career and was offered a music contract with Capital Records. She ultimately decided to forgo her music career and got married to her first husband, Dale Wheat; they had two children, Wendy & Dawn. After 19 years of marriage, they divorced. Jackie later met Albert Clayman, the love of her life, and was married in May of 1976; they became inseparable. After she left the Corps of Engineers, Jackie went to work by Albert's side in their advertising specialties business. They enjoyed traveling and playing golf at Meadowbrook Country Club. They spent the winter months in Palm Springs and belonged to Palm Valley Country Club, where they retired permanently after Kay-Cee Enterprises was sold in 2000. Jackie was diagnosed with Progressive Supranuclear Palsy and they moved back to Kansas City to live with their daughter in Olathe. Jackie is preceded in death by her parents and husband, Albert Clayman. She leaves behind her two daughters Wendy Mead (James) and Dawn Wheat; stepdaughters Kim Clayman and Kristen Allen; and her beloved grandchildren Layne Wheat, Michelle and Allison Mead, Lyuba Clayman, and Kendall and Karstan Allen. Her daughters invite family and friends to celebrate her life at the home of Dawn Wheat on the evening of February 19, 2014 at 6:30 p.m. (913-302-1364).
