George Scott, 85, of Prairie Village, passed away Friday, February 21, 2014, at St. Luke's Hospice House in Kansas City. A memorial visitation will be 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 27, at the Amos Family Funeral Home and Crematory. The family suggests in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions be made to a in George's honor. George was born March 28, 1928, to the late George and Clara Scott in Kansas City, Mo. George worked in the Shop for Western Electric for over 30 years where he was a member of CWA. George volunteered his time as a Head Umpire for 3 & 2 Baseball and girls softball. He enjoyed playing golf with his fellow retirees from CWA at the Gardner Golf Course. George is preceded in death by his wife, Norma in 1994; a daughter, Sandy Campbell in 2011.
