Obituary Condolences

Leo R. "Dick" Wilmoth, 82, Overland Park, Kan., passed away Tuesday, March 11, 2014, at his home. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Friday, March 14, at the Porter Funeral Home, 8535 Monrovia, Lenexa, Kan. Burial in Highland Park Cemetery. The visitation will be from 7:30 to 9 p.m. Thursday, at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorial contributions to Trinity Lutheran Church, 5601 W. 62nd St., Mission, KS 66202 or the Wounded Warrior Project, PO Box 758517, Topeka, KS 66675. Dick was born Aug. 6, 1931, in Hannibal, Mo., and had lived most of his life in the Kansas City area. He was the Assistant Regional Director for the Kansas City region and a Senior Supervisor in accounting for the Santa Fe Railroad for 35 years, retiring in 1986. Dick is a member of Trinity Lutheran Church. He has been an avid Chiefs fan and loves to travel around the country in his RV and going on cruises around the world. Dick is survived by his wife of 63 years, Erma Jean Wilmoth, two daughters and their husbands, Barb and Jerry Bingham, Vicki and John Dorsch, grandchildren, Travis and Sophie Bingham, Amanda Bingham Rutledge and fiance' Justin Black and great grandchildren, Kaylev Rutledge, Kuper Rutledge, Mila Black and Gracelinn Bingham. Dick never met a stranger and has forever cherished his "three wonderful girls."
