RETHA J. WILSON Obituary
Retha Jewell (Dunning) Wilson, 83, of Indep., MO, passed away March 19, 2014. Visitation will be from 6- 8PM, Friday March 21st at Newcomer's Noland Rd. Chapel. Funeral Services will be at 10AM Sat., March 22nd at Funeral Home. Graveside Services will be at 2PM Sat., March 22nd at Lowry City (MO) Cemetery. Retha was born on her family's farm near Deepwater, MO on October 1, 1930 to the late Herb and Leona Dunning. She moved to Indep. in 1950 where she met and married the late Herb Wilson on March 5, 1955. For the most part she was a stay at home mother, but in 1980 she began working at Independence Regional Hospital where she retired in 1996. Three sisters preceded her in death Verda Dunning, Josephine Bellmeyer and Eva Swopes. She leaves behind daughters Theresa (Paul) Stutts, Joanne (Gary) Johnson, Michelle Wilson and a son Gene (Debbie) Wilson all of Indep., a brother Herb Dunning and Sisters Audrey Harleman both of Indep., and Marge Moran of Lowry City, MO. Eight Grandchildren, nine Great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Memorial contributions may be made to Harden Hospice 4731 S Cochise Drive, Indep., MO 64055 (816) 350-2212.
