BONNIE J. LOWREY Obituary
Bonnie Jean (Ganakopolus) Lowrey, 90, formerly of the Kansas City Northland, and a resident of Bishop Spencer Place for the past six years, passed away April 2, 2014, at St. Luke's Plaza Hospital. Her memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. Monday, April 7, at Bishop Spencer Place, 4301 Madison Ave., Kansas City, MO 64111. Burial will follow in the Grace and Holy Trinity Cathedral Memorial Garden. In lieu of flowers, please honor Bonnie's memory with a donation to the Bishop Spencer Place Benevolent Fund. Bonnie was born Feb. 15, 1924, in Madison, Wis., the daughter of John and Faith Ellen (Guilligan) Ganakopolus. She was united in marriage to Paul William Lowrey on Dec. 23, 1943. They moved to Kansas City, where Bonnie worked as a civil service employee with the Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA) until her retirement. She was a member of Grace and Holy Trinity Cathedral. Paul preceded Bonnie in death on May 23, 2010. She was also preceded in death by a sister, Patricia. Bonnie is survived by her diva Poodle, Mimi Rose, who was her sole companion. She also leaves a niece, Suzanne McKittrick; nephew, Michael Triggs; and two special cousins, Charles and Rosemary Carr. Arr.: Park Lawn Northland Chapel, (816) 781-8228.
