CHARLES CLIFFORD "CLIFF" LAYTHAM Obituary
CHARLES CLIFFORD "CLIFF" LAYTHAM Charles Clifford "Cliff" Laytham, 88, Kansas City, KS, died Monday, April 21, 2014 at his home. Funeral Services will be 10:00 a.m. Friday, April 25, at the Porter Funeral Home, 1835 Minnesota Ave., Kansas City, KS. Burial in Johnson County Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. Thursday at the Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorial contributions to Crossroads Hospice or Kansas City Animals Inc. Cliff was born April 5, 1926, in Madison, MO and had lived in the Kansas City area since 1935. He had been a repairman specialist for Owens Illinois Plastics Division for 28 years. Cliff was a United States Navy veteran of World War II serving aboard the U.S.S. Mississippi and a member of F.O.E. Aerie #87. He was preceded in death by his parents, Olin and Offie Laytham and 4 brothers, Clayton, Gerald, Marvin and Donald. Cliff is survived by his five children and their spouses, David and Margaret Laytham, Debbie and Mark Lesher, Don and Jenne Laytham, Doug and Terri Laytham, Darryl Laytham, 5 brothers and their spouses, Joe and Judy Laytham, Dan and Naomi Laytham, Melvin and Barbara Laytham, Jimmy and Cindy Laytham, a sister and her husband, Virginia and Bob Hanthorn, sister's- in-law, Mary Ann, Glenda and Pat, 10 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren, a great great granddaughter and his buddy, P.J.
