Hunting, sailing, boating, cycling, scuba diving, and coaching his children's CYO sports were special interests. Rich planned and took part in many cross country motorcycle trips in the U.S. and Canada. Rich was preceded in death by his father, Richard, June 13, 2014. Rich is survived by his wife of 23 years, Annette V. Hartzell, three children, Lauren, Richard, and Kristen, his mother, Jean Hartzell, Bella Vista, AR and aunt, Linda Bergquist, Iowa City, IA.
