He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Betty Gambreal; youngest daughter, Pat Gambreal and partner Joy Beyl of KCMO; grandson, Christopher Asby and wife Michelle of Liberty, Mo., and his great grandchildren, Avry, Brayden and Addison Asby; extended family son-in-law, David Asby and wife Lynda of KCMO, granddaughter, Kristin Didde and husband Shawn of Blue Springs, Mo., and grandson, Byron Devlin and wife Emily of N. Kansas City, Mo. His family will remember him as a devoted and faithful husband, loving father, dedicated grandfather and doting great-grandfather. A 1 p.m. visitation is planned for Thursday, Aug. 7, followed by a 2 p.m. funeral at Terrace Park, 801 NW 108th St., KCMO.
