Thomas (Tom) W. Bugler, 92, passed away, Tuesday, January 29, 2013, at his home in Mission, Kan. Tom was preceded in death by his parents, his sister, Margaret Bugler, his sister, Helen Hummel, and his granddaughter, Brandy Bugler Endacott. Tom served his country in the Infantry and Signal Corps for more than three years during World War II. He spent 13 months in the European Theater of Operations, serving in Italy, France, and Germany. Tom was a Purchasing Agent for Great Lakes Pipe Line Company for 20 years. Tom was a member of the Planning Commission of the City of Mission for a total of 25 years, serving as Chairman for a period of 13 years. He also served a two year term as a member of the City Council. Tom leaves his beloved wife, Marguerite after 66 years of marriage. He leaves four children, Sue Brock and her husband Jim of Kansas City, Kan., his son, Thomas (Tom) Bugler and his wife Nancy of Frederick, Md., Mary Jo Hegstrom and her husband Steve of Mission, and John Bugler and his wife Vonda of St. Peters, Mo. Tom also is survived by his two brothers, John (Doc) Bugler and Richard (Dick) Bugler. He leaves 11 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren. Tom and his wife moved to Mission in 1957 and have been members of Saint Pius X Parish ever since. Visitation will be held from 9 to 10 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 2, at St. Pius X Church in Mission. The Rosary will be prayed at 10 a.m. followed by the Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 a.m. with burial in Resurrection Cemetery, Lenexa, Kan.
