1928 - 2013 | Obituary Condolences
James G. "Jim" Neuner passed away Monday, October 28, 2013, at the age of 85. He is survived by Kathie, his wife of 29 years. He is also survived by his brother, Joseph J. Neuner and his wife Luanne of Olathe, Kan., and three sons, James G. Neuner, Jr. and wife Debie, their twin daughters, Kelly and Michele of the Woodlands, Texas, Kenneth B. Neuner and wife Nori and their daughters Clair and Kendall of Dallas, Texas, and David B. Neuner and wife Maggie Hays of Portland, Ore. Mr. Neuner attended the University of Kansas and is a graduate of Rockhurst University. He was a member of Sigma Chi Fraternity. Mr. Neuner was a Korean War veteran and was awarded the Combat Infantry Badge and other medals of recognition. Jim's favorite avocations were flying, golf, fishing and hunting. He was KC junior golf champion while at Southwest High School. He was a private pilot with many hours as a command pilot. Jim represented Foster Wheeler Energy Corporation in KC for many years before transferring to the New Orleans area where he continued as the company's registered agent. He was also an independent petroleum producer and operator for most of his adult life. A memorial Mass was held Wednesday, Oct. 30, in Covington La. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations in memory of Mr. Neuner to be made to St. Joseph Abbey, 75376 River Rd., Covington, LA 70435.
