1924 - 2013 Obituary Condolences
Carolyn L. Crocker, a life-long resident of Kansas Carolyn City, Kansas, passed away at the home November 13, 2013. The family plans a private burial. Carolyn was born October 16, 1924, to Vennor and Lydia Crocker. She graduated from the University of Kansas and was a medical technologist at the KU Med Center her entire professional career, training many students through the years. She had a paper published that led to changes in processing blood for laboratory tests. Carolyn was known for her beautiful handwork and was a member of the Weavers Guild. Her family eagerly anticipated her Christmas gifts, particularly her homemade black raspberry jelly made from fruit picked in the woods next to her lake home. She was an avid Jayhawk fan and loyally supported the teams. Carolyn was family oriented and very involved and influential in the lives of many nieces and nephews. She will be greatly missed by her many friends and family members including her faithful dog, Shadow.
